PyDUIT – Python GUI library design

While working with Kivy, I came to the conclusion that what Python really needs is yet another GUI library.

Yes, I know there are somewhere around 50 of these already, and 80% of them never really went anywhere, so what would I think the Python world needs another one?  Why do I think I could design one that would be better than 50 other alternatives?

Well, I spent some time answering that question, in a document you can read here.

*Note: Kivy might be my “servant” now, but it’s a poor one. It rarely does what I ask it to unless I ask it “just right”. It’s as bad as Alexa, and just as annoying.

Update, 3/5/21: I might still do this someday, but after putting it on the back burner for a few months, I realized I’ve already done the “fun part”, at least for me.  Turning this into a real product would take real effort.  There are probably lots of other things I can work on that will be more fun and still valuable.
